Appearance and character: white crystal, sweet. Industrial grade is gray-white sheet, grainy, or blocky, because contain low ferric salt belt weak green, because low ferric salt is oxidized and make the surface become yellow. The coarse product is a porous, grayish - white fine grain structure.

1. Used as paper sizing agent in paper industry to enhance the waterproof and anti-seepage performance of paper;
2. After being dissolved in water, small particles and natural colloidal particles in the water can be condensed into large flocs, which can be removed from the water. Therefore, it is used as a coagulant for water supply and waste water
3. Used as turbidity cleaning agent, precipitation agent, fixing agent, filling agent, etc. Used in cosmetics as raw material for anti-perspiration cosmetics (astringents);
4. In the fire industry, foam extinguishing agent is made up of baking soda and foaming agent;
5. Analytical reagent, mordant, tanning agent, oil decolorizing agent, wood preservative;
6. A stabilizer for the pasteurization of albumin (including liquid or frozen whole eggs, egg whites or yolks);
7. Can be used as raw materials for the manufacture of artificial gemstones and advanced ammonium alum, and other aluminates;
8. In the fuel industry, chromium yellow and chromophore dyes are produced as precipitators, which also act as fixation and filler.
